The Nesbit Procedure is the most widely used surgical procedure that is designed to correct curvature of the penis whether congenital or as a result of the disease.

Sutures are put in place to hold the tissue in place. Unfortunately, this procedure causes a slight shortening of the surface of the penis. Typically, the stitches may ooze for a day or two after the operation is carried out, but this is normal. Once the wound is completely healed, the patient can go back to having sex as normal, and there should be no more pain.
